After a period of unconsciousness, Link wakes up in an unknown place, a floating sky island, where he encounters a enigmatic spirit named Rauru. To save him from his injuries sustained by the mummy, Rauru transplants the arm that held the malevolent creature onto Link, replacing his damaged arm. With newfound powers and a new ally, Link sets out on a perilous adventure to protect Hyrule, rescue Princess Zelda, and unravel the secrets surrounding the Zonai.
